Job Title - Plant Maintenance Operative
Location - Warrington (Some on-site support. Vehicle provided)
Hours- 7am-3pm or 8am-4pm
Pay Rate- £29,250 salary/ £15 per hour
Overview
The scope of the Plant Maintenance Operative is to manage, maintain and repair all plant and tools as required to maintain business operations.
Job role
- Support Warehouse Manager as directed and required to maintain business operations
- Provide support to Managers and Supervisors on all projects
- Some on-site support may be required as pre-approved by your manager
- Ensure all plant / tools are inspected on return and made available for projects immediately.
- Issues with plant are recorded and reported immediately, with required actions to fix described with the timeframe to make them operational communicated and whether external support is needed.
- All plant and tools are PAT tested, either prior to sending out or as per testing schedule if located on a vehicle.
- PAT testing software is kept up to date and equipment list from software is issued to holder of plant after each round of testing. Copy to be saved on server. Delays in PAT testing are communicated immediately.
- Plant locations are recorded and tracked to ensure business efficiency and asset protection. All plant and tools are serialised, and logs are kept of locations.
- Where a requirement for additional plant is highlighted due to requests increasing, it is reported to management
- Ensure all work and / or movements are completed within the risk assessment & approved method
- Ensure housekeeping of the workshop, warehouse and external yard are up to standard
- Have an understanding of electrical items and how to safely repair, test & maintain items.
- Have an understanding of COSHH regulations and ensure standards are implemented and met
- Complete all relevant training requirements to maintain safety standards in role
- Ensure all paperwork reviewed and up to date
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Plant Technician or similar role within an industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of PAT testing procedures and requirements.
- Strong understanding of COSHH regulations.
- Demonstrated experience working with industrial machines and equipment.
- Background in flooring maintenance and repairs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
