Cloud Infrastructure Engineer – Warrington - £55,000
A highly successful and rapidly growing business with offices in Warrington are looking for a Cloud Engineer to be responsible for the support, maintenance and improvement of their Cloud environment. Please note – occasional travel to their Central London will be required (once per month).
As the AWS Cloud Engineer you will ensure the Cloud network and systems are secure from attack and compliant with recognised security standards and best practices. You will monitor the Cloud network and provide expert knowledge and guidance on security risks and improvements as well as supporting business communication and messaging systems. You will support Cloud public facing, load balanced, web servers and configure and maintain Cloud firewalls, routers and switches, to give the highest level of operational security possible. You will also devise optimal configurations for Cloud systems; plan and advise on improvements from initial design to rollout, taking full responsibility for the progress and completion of project work.
To be suitable for this AWS Cloud Engineer role you will have experience across the following:
Architecture – advising and building AWS Solutions from idea to production.
Maintenance – Patching, access and account creation for all AWS environments.
Management/Monitoring – Day to day management/monitoring alerts, actioning alerts when necessary
Networking – Strong understanding of Security Groups, NACLs, Subnets, VPC, WAF, ALBs/NLBs and flow logs.
Cloud Concepts – Strong understanding of benefits and cons of Cloud Computing and Cloud Models.
Main Services where knowledge is a must – Ec2, RDS, IAM, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, ECS, s3, CloudFront, Control Tower and Networking.
The ideal candidate will have strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills and will be able to communicate technical information to non technical users.
The salary on offer for this role is up to £55,000 plus benefits.
