Junior Devops Engineer

Warrington (hybrid 3 days a week)

In this role, you will collaborate with the team to design, automate, and deploy services for our clients on AWS. The industry is fast-paced, and the challenges you'll tackle are ever-changing. This position is ideal for those who thrive in a dynamic, stimulating environment, where you’ll engage in meaningful work solving complex business problems and developing technology solutions that drive client success. As part of a smaller team, you may occasionally assist with broader support tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the business.

Key responsibilities

• Perform AWS environment troubleshooting and setup

• Write infrastructure as code (CloudFormation/Terraform)

• Ensure all components are adequately monitored and logged to prevent outages

• Administrate automated deployments and scripting using PowerShell

• Complete technical documentation

• Deliver quality work in agile team environment

• Research and provide feedback on new AWS services and solutions

• Capacity management / Scalability

Person specification

Previous experience in a similar role

Strong analytical and communication skills, personable, critical thinker, attention to detail and capable of working without supervision

Required Skills

• Experience in cloud computing

• Experience managing common AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, CloudFormation etc)

• Knowledge of Microsoft environments (Active Directory, Windows Server)

• Knowledge of database systems (MySQL/MariaDB)

• Knowledgeable about networking and security

• Comfortable interacting with customers and 3 rd parties

• Effective communication skills Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certification
