Job Specification: Assistant Site Manager

Location: North West (Must be based in the region)

Salary: £35,000 per annum + Car Allowance & Overtime

The Role:

As an Assistant Site Manager, you will support Senior Site Management with the daily operations on construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in site management and further your career within the construction industry. You will play a key role in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will assist with coordinating teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, as well as ensuring that all health, safety, and quality protocols are followed.

Key Responsibilities:

Report to the Site Manager and Contracts Manager

Support the daily operations and management of site activities

Assist in managing construction activities and liaising with sub-contractors

Monitor and enforce health & safety standards, project programs, and quality controls in line with CGI policies and procedures

Coordinate with a range of professionals, including designers, consultants, and contractors

Ensure the project is delivered to a high quality, meeting all specified requirements

Support the Site Manager with any other duties as required

Requirements:

Strong construction knowledge (experience in construction, including a potential background in joinery, is acceptable)

Ability to communicate effectively with team members, clients, and contractors

Teamwork and commitment to achieving project goals

Site Management qualification (SMSTS or equivalent preferred)

Asbestos Awareness certification

First Aid trained

A construction-related degree is acceptable for candidates just out of university
