Role Overview: As a Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that project requirements are met on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, while fostering strong client relationships. Your responsibilities will range from selecting and evaluating suppliers to directly delivering the engineering and design scope for selected projects. You will leverage your broad understanding of various engineering disciplines to provide integrated design solutions for complex projects and oversee value engineering and project delivery.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure designs adhere to engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and relevant specifications and legislation.
- Coordinate technical developments, scheduling, and resolution of engineering design challenges.
- Assist the Engineering Project Manager in managing project expenditures within budget constraints.
- Approve supplier and subcontractor documentation on behalf of the Engineering Project Manager.
- Prepare estimates for changes and collaborate with the project team to ensure timely coordination and delivery.
- Report on the technical scope performance of the project against the baseline plan and expected benefits.
- Ensure seamless coordination between all aspects of engineering, design, construction, and manufacturing for on-site delivery.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Significant experience working across the full design project lifecycle.
- Extensive Project Engineer experience.
- Proven leadership experience and ability to work with minimum supervision in highly regulated environments.
- Must be eligible to obtain SC Clearance.
- Educated to Degree level in a relevant engineering discipline preferred.
- The successful applicant will also hold a Project Management Qualification/Accreditation such as APM, PMI.
