Credit Controller/ Accounts Assistant, Lowton (WA3) , Permanent, c£28,000 DOE

Forrest Recruitment are currently seeking to recruit a Credit Controller to join and support the wider finance team, for an industry leading organisation based in the Lowton area. Reporting into the Credit Control Manager, you will be responsible for communicating internally between the Finance department, Sales Team, and Customer Care to assist with the day to day running of the Credit Control department, ensuring the timely payment of all invoices and minimising aged debt.

Working hours: 9am 5pm (Monday to Friday)

Role responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the monthly billing of multiple customer types
  • Responsible for debt collection and aiming to reduce aged debt
  • Responding to incoming queries via phone and email within strict timeframes
  • Highlighting any payment issues to Credit Control Manager
  • Issuing invoices to customers
  • Building and Maintaining relationships with customers
  • Discussing payment terms and chasing payments
  • Ensuring collection notes and payment promises are kept up to date
  • Cash allocation and month end housekeeping.
  • Achieving company targets in relation to aged debtors.

Skills required:

  • The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills
  • Proven experience working within a Credit Control position (Minimum of 2 years)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Packages (Excel and Outlook) Essential
  • Knowledge of Sage Intacct (Desirable, not essential)
  • A pro-active attitude, with the ability to manage own workload.
