We are seeking a dedicated Credit Controller to join an established yet growing company in the Warrington area. This role is crucial for maintaining the financial stability of the company by managing credit and debt, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting the finance team in various activities

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Negotiating with debtors to manage and reduce overdue terms.
  • Managing the mailbox and payment allocations within the agreed SLA.
  • Handle the opening of new debtor accounts and ensure daily cash and debtor targets are met.
  • Processing credit notes and maintain the Sales Ledger with accurate customer information.
  • Checking the credit status of clients to identify debtors and set credit limits.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies regarding sales transactions and credit management.
  • Assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities, as well as audits.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency within the credit control function.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working as a Credit Controller
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, especially Excel and Word.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple processes.
