Reporting to the Credit Control Manager you will join a group of experienced experts who ensure all accounts are up to date and therefore helping to push the business to reach its full potential.

Working proactively with Group Credit Controller, you will be responsible for the maximisation of profits by ensuring all debt owed to the company is paid in full and in a timely manner.

Our Credit Control team is based in Warrington, WA5. By working closely with your colleagues, you will receive extensive training, continuous skill development, and ongoing performance coaching to support your success.

Description

  • Manage a portfolio exceeding £40 million annually
  • Take a proactive role in managing and collecting debts, maintaining a collection rate of 95% or higher.
  • Ensure all payments received are correctly allocated to customer accounts and accurately reflected in ledgers. Assist the finance department to ensure all insurer accounts are settled and reconciled by monthly deadlines
  • Prepare and distribute accurate credit information and debt reports. Ensure all debt recovered is thoroughly recorded and ledgers reflect the correct outstanding debt, adhering to Regulatory Codes of Practice, Data Protection, and in-house procedures.
  • Issue and reconcile broker statements.
  • Handle customer inquiries related to billing and payments, ensuring a high level of customer service.
  • Monitor and manage debt portfolios and broker accounts.
  • Work across multiple platforms
  • Build and maintain strong relationships
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues related to accounts receivable.
  • Participate in identifying and implementing organizational changes to drive continuous improvement and efficiency.

Profile

  • Minimum 2 year's experience working in credit control or similar operational finance role
  • Ability to analyze & interpret data
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • The abilityto work collaboratively with other departments, such as sales and finance
