What you will be doing

You will be supporting the Hospital Directors across the region to develop best practice and governance across our services.

As a Regional Quality and Compliance Lead, you will be responsible for a portfolio of services aiming to ensure that all services meet all regulatory and company requirements and continually improve the quality-of-service delivery and service user experience.

Working 37.5 hours a week, you will be providing administrative support across a range of areas including development and review of task and actions required by the hospital and external bodies, having oversight of the Site Improvement plan including adding and tracking actions, proactively liaising with staff to ensure that tasks and actions are completed.

You will also work collaboratively with the Regional Quality Improvement Leads ensuring that audits are carried out as required.

As a Regional Quality and Compliance Lead you will be:

  • Working closely with the local Compliance Team, the Hospital Director’s and Operations Director in the monitoring and embedding of an ongoing person centered and quality improvement culture throughout the Northern region and the organisation.
  • Working in collaboration with the sites to assist with CQC, NHS England and HI Wales compliance and preparation for inspections to ensure that deadlines for requests and submission dates are met. This will include monitoring progress and embedding action plans from
  • Working with the central Provider Compliance (PCA) team to ensure that site action plans are delivered as agreed and monitored moving forward.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Expert specialist knowledge of leading, implementing and reviewing quality initiatives in a related business environment.
  • Be educated to a degree level or equivalent the post holder will have extensive experience of managing and leading ‘good’ adult hospital / care services and have knowledge and experience of managing change, quality improvement processes, and site turnaround.
  • To have detailed and up to date knowledge of the social care industry, regulatory matters and current best practice
  • A valid UK driving license is essential for the role.
  • To participate in regular CPD to ensure the role holder is up to date and credible in a wide range of areas.
  • In addition, will be expected to undergo specific statutory and regulatory training as the role requires from time to time.
  • Experience of discussing issues with, and presenting findings to, senior management teams.
  • Strong report writing skills with the ability to present information (both financial and non-financial) and recommendations in a clear and logical way.
  • Evidence of having implemented practices which have resulted in positive outcomes for people with a mental illness, including mental health, personality disorder, brain injury, learning disability and co-morbidity presentations.
