Our client, a leading construction company renowned for delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget, is currently seeking an experienced Setting Out Engineer. The successful candidate will oversee construction projects across the North West. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a reputable company on key projects and to potentially lead a team of engineers in the future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and Execution: Assist in planning and executing construction projects, ensuring technical accuracy and adherence to plans and specifications.
- Site Surveys: Conduct site surveys and set out construction works according to plans.
- Supervision: Oversee and supervise site operations, ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards.
- Coordination: Coordinate with the site manager to ensure smooth project progress.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed site records.
- Technical Advice: Provide technical advice and solutions to construction challenges.
- Quality Control: Perform quality control checks to ensure work meets the required standards.
- Collaboration: Work alongside design teams, estimating, commercial, and site managers to ensure levels are accurate to client specifications.
- Technical Duties: Set out for multiple works, foundations, logging data, reading and implementing drawings, and other tasks.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience as a Site Engineer in the construction industry with previous setting out projects.
- Knowledge: Strong knowledge of construction techniques and quality standards.
- Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using engineering software and tools such as AutoCAD and surveying instruments.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Certifications: CSCS card; SSSTS/SMSTS (desirable).
- Driving License: Valid driving license.
