Reeson Education is recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in Golborne, Wigan. This is an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to support KS1 pupils in the classroom while also leading small-group and one-to-one interventions in core subjects, phonics, guided reading, and SEN support.

Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:

• Provide classroom support as a teaching assistant to KS1 pupils, working closely with the class teacher.
• Lead small-group sessions and one-to-one interventions in core subjects, phonics, and guided reading.
• Offer SEN support to pupils with additional learning needs, adapting strategies to meet individual needs.
• Encourage engagement, confidence, and positive learning habits in all pupils.
• Help create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.

Teaching Assistant Requirements:

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role (desirable but not essential).
• A passion for supporting young learners and helping them achieve their full potential.
• Knowledge of phonics, guided reading, or intervention strategies is an advantage.
• A patient, proactive, and adaptable approach to working with children.
• Commitment to a full-time, long-term teaching assistant role in a primary school setting.
