Are you passionate about ecology and keen to make an impact in the renewables sector? We are pleased to be working with a dynamic and growing private planning consultancy based in Warrington that specialises in renewable energy projects. We're looking for a driven Ecologist to join their team and contribute to exciting developments in green energy.

At the forefront of the renewables industry, our client prides themselves on delivering innovative, sustainable solutions to their clients. You will be working in a multi-disciplinary team of experts who work collaboratively across planning, environmental, and engineering disciplines to drive projects forward in a way that benefits both nature and the built environment.

The Role:
As an Ecologist, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of renewable energy projects from conception through to completion. You will conduct ecological assessments, provide advice on mitigation and enhancement, and work closely with planners, engineers, and other environmental specialists to ensure that biodiversity is at the heart of project planning.

Key Responsibilities:
路Conduct Phase 1 habitat surveys, protected species surveys, and ecological assessments.
路Provide ecological input into Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA).
路Prepare and deliver ecological reports and mitigation strategies.
路Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
路Support in obtaining relevant environmental permits and licences.
路Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team on a variety of renewable projects.

What We're Looking For:
路A degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
路Experience in undertaking ecological surveys and assessments.
路Strong knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and planning policy.
路A passion for sustainability and renewable energy.
路Full UK driving licence (essential).
路Membership of CIEEM (desirable).
