Electronics Service & Support Manager

Circa £55,000 per annum, plus bonus, pension etc..
Seeking to move into a leadership role, managing a high-performing team that provide high-level support and repairs to complex renewable energy systems?
The company are a fast-growing business (having grown by 30% in the UK in past 12 months) and are seeking to hire an experienced engineer / leader to take responsibility for a team of 5 support and repair engineers. This will involve organising and motivating the team, implementing processes and best practices, and hiring / training of new team members, and acting as a bridge between Services and R&D.
Whilst this is not a 'hands on’ position, you will have a strong background in electronic / electrical support and service. You do not necessarily need to have formal management experience to be considered, however you will be ambitious, confident in leading a small team and comfortable in taking on increasing responsibility.
This position will have its challenges - the existing team need a strong leader, and a lot of best practices and processes need to be implemented to protect the team and ensure workloads are managed effectively. Having grown so quickly (from 0 staff in the UK 3 years to 50+ now), there is a lot to be done to take them from 'start-up’ mentality to a professional working environment. Due to the team being very hands on with test and repair equipment, it is expected that the manager will be on-site the majority of the time, and so will need to be based in, or close to, Cheshire / Merseyside / Greater Manchester.
Beyond the initial scope of this role, there is serious scope for progression here, with the products playing a key role in the renewable energy sector, and the company forecast to grow significantly in the coming years.
