A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Dose & Shielding Consultant, looking for their next challenge, to join a pioneering organisation within the nuclear industry. The Dose & Shielding Consultant will have gained significant experience in radiation shielding and dose assessment within the nuclear sector and be eligible for SC Clearance.Â
The Role
Using industry-recognised radiation transport software such as MCNP, ATILLA and MicroShield, the Dose & Shielding Consultant will manage dose and shielding projects, providing expert knowledge of dose and shielding safety assessment, as well as contributing to the enhancement of radiation protection, safety processes and procedures.

The Dose & Shielding Consultant will join a leading organisation in the nuclear industry, based at their site in Warrington. The Dose & Shielding Consultant will contribute to a supportive and collaborative team environment, which rewards hard work and innovative thinking. Travel to other sites may be required on an ad hoc basis.Â

What’s required of the Dose & Shielding Consultant?
- Demonstrable experience in radiation shielding and dose assessment within the nuclear sector
- A good level of experience with radiation transport codes
- Familiarity with industry-recognised radiation transport software such as MCNP, ATILLA and MicroShield
- Ability to obtain SC clearance
