Astute's Nuclear team is partnering with an international company that operates across highly regulated sectors including Nuclear. They are looking for a Structural Engineer to provide hands-on analysis and design within the C&S department.
This integral position comes with a salary of up to 65,000 depending on experience and the chance to work on a hybrid basis.

Responsibilities and duties
As the Structural Engineer you will:
- Prepare design documentation throughout the design process
- Develop designs to satisfy technical specifications
- Prepare supporting design calculations to substantiate design
- Contribute to design reviews
- Prepare of technical specifications
- Prepare risk assessments, technical files and other technical documentation required by safety legislation and procedures
- Any other duties as required
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
- A recognised Engineering Certificate such as HNC / HND / Degree
- Knowledge of the fundamentals of structures and foundations using Reinforced Concrete and Structural Steel
- Design experience in Reinforced Concrete and Structural Steel
- Knowledge and understanding of Structural steel connections and connection types
- Demonstrable competence gained in a design delivery position
Personal skills
The Structural Engineer role would suit someone who is:
- Strong team player
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Full UK driving licence and ability to travel
- Ability to obtain security clearance
