Our client in Warrington is currently looking for an experienced Technical Support Specialist to join their growing team. You will be responsible for overseeing deskside support, ensuring seamless infrastructure operations and acting as the bridge between the technical team and the wider business.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT support desk, ensuring timely and effective resolution of technical issues
- Act as an escalation point and provide escalated support and guidance to the wider business and other clients
- Keep up to date on any or existing IT products and IT technologies
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Manage and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure, Hyper-V virtualized environments, Active Directory, and other core IT systems
- Administer and support voice solutions (3CX, Teams Telephony, Horizon by Gamma), M365 services, and networking systems (Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet)
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures, including firewalls, email security, and backup solutions
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in IT infrastructure management, with a strong understanding of cloud services, networking, and cybersecurity
- Strong technical knowledge of Azure, Hyper-V, Active Directory
- Experienced with networking systems such as Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, SonicWall, WatchGuard
- Knowledge of telephony systems would be beneficial such as 3CX, Teams Telephony, Horizon by Gamma
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues at all levels
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
