We are seeking an Enterprise Solutions Architect to focus on architecting the technical infrastructure and applications across our entire technology estate. This role is crucial for ensuring that the domain architecture meets the evolving needs of the business, which is increasingly reliant on resilient digital services to deliver outstanding customer and employee experiences.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Maintain a continual awareness of deployment best practices and technical requirements to guide investment across technology architecture domains.
  • Assess the technology estate iteratively to improve efficiency, performance, and reliability.
  • Lead the definition of architectural artefacts, ensuring alignment with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Establish governance activities to oversee architecture implementation and manage deviations effectively.
  • Act as the domain Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing ongoing support and steering technology users towards optimal solutions.
  • Lead the definition of architectures aligned with broader enterprise strategies, assessing financial and technical impacts.
  • Manage exceptions to architecture standards, tracking technical debt and recommending improvements.
  • Engage key stakeholders to identify innovation opportunities that drive business strategy.
  • Drive adoption of new technologies and integrate digital assets to enhance business operations.
  • Provide consultancy on strategic initiatives, ensuring technology implementations align with enterprise architecture strategies.
  • Monitor and report progress against architecture roadmaps and targets.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Certifications in ITIL, TOGAF, or other Enterprise Architecture Frameworks.
  • CSA Infrastructure Guidance certification.
  • AWS, Azure certifications preferred.
  • Extensive experience in defining infrastructure artefacts such as architectural models, roadmaps, and standards.
  • Broad knowledge across diverse technology environments, including data centres and cloud environments.
  • Proficiency in Architecture Modelling and Notation techniques.
  • Deep experience with infrastructure architecture, including open stack, private and public cloud, virtualisation, and containerisation.
  • Experience with cloud vendor products and cloud-based deployment for enterprise software.
  • Proven ability to manage costs across multiple cloud vendors and instances.
  • Strong experience in leading technology and architecture for significant projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
