Are you ready to be the guardian of our critical infrastructure? As a Remote Monitoring Controller, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring the smooth running of our assets 24/7/365. Your role will involve managing alarms, analysing data, and swiftly resolving issues to protect our assets, people, and reputation.

What do you need to know about the role?

  • Job Title: Remote Monitoring Controller
  • Location: Warrington
  • Shift Pattern: 12-day rotation (2 days 06:30-18:30, 2 nights 18:30-06:30, 4 days off)
  • Contract: Temporary worker via Reed for 6 months, with the opportunity to go permanent in the future
  • Hourly Rate: £22.80

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • 24/7/365 Alarm Management: Keep a vigilant eye on our wastewater and water systems.
  • Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations, SOPs, and SLAs.
  • Multitasking: Handle multiple events simultaneously with precision and care.
  • Resilience: Manage telemetry under pressure, especially during high-demand periods or extreme weather.
  • Learning: Understand our regional wastewater and water systems to assess and respond effectively.
  • Knowledge Growth: Enhance your understanding of wastewater treatment processes.
  • Proactive Engagement: Use corporate tools to prevent and reduce alarms.
  • Resource Management: Allocate and manage resources efficiently, especially outside core business hours.

To be considered for this role, you need:

  • Shift Work: Thrive in a rotation shift pattern, maintaining high focus and effectiveness.
  • IT Proficiency: Excellent knowledge and experience with multiple IT systems.
  • Telemetry Systems: Familiarity with UU Telemetry Systems and data reporting platforms.
  • Process Knowledge: Understanding of water and wastewater processes/networks.
  • Tool Proficiency: Good knowledge of tools like Click Schedule/INS.
