Accounts Payable Supervisor

Salary: £27,000 - £32,000

Location: Warrington

Duration: Full time, Permanent.

Sellick Partnership have been engaged to recruit an Accounts Payable Supervisor for a well-established growing Manufacturing business based in Warrington. The company has enjoyed consistent growth over the last 24 months and as a result an exciting opportunity has opened up within the finance team.

As the Accounts Payable Supervisor, you will be working closely alongside the Financial Controller and will be exposed to a number of responsibilities including overseeing and controlling the Supplier Payment Process, Supervising the Purchase Ledger experience and more. The role will be ever changing and there will be opportunities to move into other areas of finance as the business grows.

Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Supervisor

  • Supervise and assist the Purchase Ledger Assistant in all aspects of Purchase Ledger
  • Assist with Month End reporting
  • Ensure accurate Supplier Statement Reconciliations
  • Processing monthly corporate card transactions
  • Processing monthly and weekly payroll
  • Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
  • Other ad-hoc tasks required by the Financial Controller

Required skills and experience of the Accounts Payable Supervisor

  • Proven experience within a similar role
  • Proficient in using Sage
  • Excellent IT skills including the use of Excel
  • Strong communication skills with good presentation and the ability to build relationships
  • Ability to work independently and or within a team
