My client are an international brand with a UK division that is growing rapidly. They are family owned with a lot of the senior stakeholders coming from a financial background, meaning that finance have a big seat at the table in any conversation!

Description

As a Finance Business Partner, you will sit in a team of 4 and be responsible for 5 P&L areas across multiple sites within the UK. You will own the P&Ls and work with the business to really understand the numbers and the key variances.

There will be Capex investment that you will have to assess and analyse and you will also be expected to get involved with month end processes, working with the Management Accounts team to forecast and budget going forward.

As a Business Partner, a huge part of your role will be to challenge stakeholders on their thinking and take them on a journey from a finance perspective. You will be expected to understand different market impacts and commodity prices and produce analysis using this to determine what's happened in the month.

Profile

The successful candidate will have the following;

  • Previous experience as a Finance Business Partner or in a similar, commercially focused role
  • Finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA). My client are ideally looking for at least 2 years' post qualification experience
  • Someone who can build good relationships with business stakeholders and be able to challenge when needed
  • If you've worked in a fast paced environment such as manufacturing or retail, that would be beneficial
  • Social Interaction skills are key, you must be able to talk to the business and explain finance to non-finance people
