What's involved?

  • Lead the development, preparation, and presentation of detailed budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with business goals and strategic initiatives.
  • Conduct in-depth variance analysis, comparing actuals against forecasts and budgets, and provide clear explanations for deviations.
  • Prepare financial models to assess the impact of potential business decisions, investments, or new projects, using scenario analysis to support recommendations.
  • Collaborate closely with department heads, senior management, and operational teams to provide strategic financial advice and insights that inform decision-making.
  • Participate in business strategy discussions, identifying financial risks and opportunities and recommending actions to drive performance improvements.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor business performance, tracking progress toward financial goals.
  • Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports with a detailed breakdown of business unit performance, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Lead post-implementation reviews of significant investments and projects, ensuring financial objectives are met and lessons are incorporated into future planning.
  • Identify and drive cost optimization initiatives by analsying operational costs and processes, proposing efficiency improvements, and recommending cost-saving measures.
  • Lead cross-functional projects to improve profitability, assess the financial viability of cost-reduction strategies, and ensure resources are allocated effectively.
  • Ensure financial practices comply with internal controls, accounting policies, and industry regulations, contributing to a strong control environment.
