This role is an exceptional opportunity for an accomplished Finance Manager to overhaul a finance function, lead on a system implementation project and act as a trusted soundboard and advisor to the Managing Director…A challenge, yes, but an extremely exciting one at that.

The business has grown rapidly over the last few years, expanding from one central office to ten offices across the north and five companies within the Group, with the team growing from 7 to 70 staff.
Admittedly, the finance department hasn't kept up with this growth and needs your input.
You're joining a thriving SME business with a highly entrepreneurial and uplifting Managing Director at the helm who is immensely passionate about the business but admits he's "not into the numbers" its not his strength, so he needs a right hand person to drive the numbers, the reporting and all aspects of the accounting.

There's so many layers to this role, so chatting with the MD and their Senior Accountant, we broken this down into different phases, to give you the best idea possible of how your 1st year will look with the business.
- Get to grips with the business, the existing processes in place and work closely with the MD and Senior Accountant to establish any sticking points or issues in the current accounting procedures.
- Look at the accounting package (Sage Line 50) and the usage of this, how can the business use this software more effectively to automate manual processes and enhance reporting?
- Enhance and transform the month-end MI pack to increase viability for the MD with full P&L analysis, cashflow forecasting and variance analysis.
A project for someone to totally take charge of and run with, under an exceptional leader who is willing to give you all the freedom and autonomy you need to make this a phenomenal success.
