We are seeking an FP&A Manager to oversee our clients financial planning and analysis team based in the Warrington area. This role involves providing critical financial reports and data to the executive board and senior managers, ensuring accurate business reporting, and supporting the Finance Director with various financial tasks.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Own the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all cycles.
  • Prepare detailed forecasts and provide explanations for key financial movements.
  • Serve as a trusted business partner to business leaders, aiding in performance enhancement and decision support.
  • Develop robust financial models applicable across different contract types.
  • Generate regular reports (monthly and weekly) to monitor business performance, track key initiatives, and measure progress against budgets and forecasts.
  • Maintain detailed analyses to identify and highlight key business drivers, using these insights to monitor and challenge ongoing performance.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy in all reported numbers.
  • Prepare business update packs for senior management, including Board reports.
  • Support the Finance Director with ad hoc assignments and ensure timely completion of tasks ahead of deadlines.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the finance department to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Assist in systems and data migrations and manage master financial data.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and operational teams.
  • Support bid and tender processes by providing accurate financial data as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven management skills with the ability to oversee an FP&A team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex financial data.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of IT systems relevant to financial reporting and analysis.
  • Diplomatic approach with excellent communication skills.
  • Good understanding of operational practices, working methods, and work schedules.
  • Flexible attitude and ability to adapt to changing business needs.
