We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Strategic Programmes team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering a strategic plan aimed at reducing expenditure and increasing revenue, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role demands effective collaboration with finance teams to reallocate costs, identify efficiencies, and maximise charging opportunities.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive plan to cut costs and boost revenue, aligning with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to reallocate costs, pinpoint efficiencies, and understand and maximise charging opportunities.
  • Drive process improvements in quoting accuracy and contractor cost management, in partnership with commercial teams.
  • Ensure project management and delivery adhere to governance standards.
  • Maintain and track milestones and dependencies, proactively communicating to prevent missed key dates.
  • Establish and oversee Strategic Programmes project deliverables and critical success factors for effective project planning and management.
  • Manage the project plan, including changes and risks, to ensure delivery meets agreed success criteria.
  • Prepare and update reports for key stakeholders.
  • Adhere to quality management standards for project delivery.
  • Ensure readiness for implementation/handover to maximise business benefits and service stability post-realisation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in project management, preferably within the utilities sector.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience working with finance teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and quality management systems.
