Senior Finance Business Partner

Are you a strategic thinker with strong analytical and commercial expertise? We're looking for a Qualified Senior Finance Business Partner to lead financial strategy and performance across the largest division of the Group.

This pivotal role focuses on optimising working capital, with key responsibilities in stock management and supplier rebates. Acting as a trusted advisor, you'll partner with senior stakeholders, delivering insights and challenges to drive business performance. You'll also remote manage a team of 3 Analysts (qualified and part-qualified), making leadership experience essential.

The role offers remote working with bi-monthly travel to Oxford.

Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Partnering & Category Management:
  • Provide financial insights to stakeholders and guide decision-making.
  • Analyse category performance, identify trends, and validate P&L impacts.
  • Oversee forecasting and budgeting for product categories.
Commercial Income & Inventory:
  • Ensure supplier rebates are accurately reflected in the P&L.
  • Monitor accruals, optimise pricing deferrals, and validate rebate components.
  • Support branches with stock optimisation and deliver inventory insights.
Leadership:
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 3 Analysts.
  • Provide financial support to senior leaders.
Person Specification:
  • Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
  • Strong commercial finance expertise and analytical skills.
  • Proven business partnering and leadership experience.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency.
