Estimator
We are seeking a skilled Proposals Engineer/ Estimator to join our client's team and support their MCCs/Switchboards/Control Panel (LV) offerings. Your primary role will be to evaluate, prioritise, and deliver high-quality, competitive proposals while closely collaborating with the client's engineering teams and customers.
Salary:
The salary range is between £50,000-£60,000 depending on experience. Please note, we are not accepting contractors for this role.
Location
This position is based at the client's Warrington office. Occasional travel to other office locations and client sites will be required.

Key Responsibilities:
• Effectively participate within the Proposals function for the Technology SBU, working closely with the sales team.
• Review tender/enquiry documentation to facilitate effective ‘bid/no-bid’ decisions.
• Collaborate with internal and external parties to gather accurate information for proposals.
• Prepare accurate and competitive proposal documents using standard templates.
• Ensure proposals are reviewed and signed off in accordance with authorisation procedures.
• Present clear and unambiguous proposals that protect the client's commercial and contractual position.
• Attend project kick-off meetings to hand over successful proposals to the execution team.
• Coordinate and attend site meetings to survey client requirements, adhering to H&S processes.
• Notify senior management of any significant commercial, technical, or contractual risks.
• Continuously improve the quality and efficiency of the proposals team based on project feedback.
• Assist in developing quoting portals and costing spreadsheets for project execution systems.
• Maintain and update the Project Portal with follow-ups and competitive positioning.

Experience & Skills:
• Proven track record in estimating electrical/control panels and MCCs.
• Technical knowledge of control systems, electrical/control panels, and MCCs.
• Ability to understand and meet client needs and timescales.
• Effective communication skills at all organisational levels and with clients.
