Our client are specialists In their market sector, due to expansion they are looking to recruit a Field Service Engineer who specialises in maintaining Fork Lift Trucks.

If you have preciously repaired Fork Lift Trucks and are happy working in a field base role covering the North West this role could be ideal for you.

The Job you’ll do

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for the upkeep of our material handling equipment, trailers & other plant vehicles, ensuring minimal downtime to allow the sites to operate efficiently.
  • You will undertake the servicing and breakdowns of our fleet, working across all sites using our Warrington site as a base.
  • The role will initially cover four sites, but will grow as the role progresses.
  • Due to the geographical position of the sites, overnight stays will sometimes be required.
  • Maintain and repair counterbalance forklift trucks, trailers and other material handling equipment to the highest possible standards.
  • Maintain spare stock, company tools and other company property, keeping them in good clean order.
  • Correctly complete job reports daily which is internet-based system.
  • Order parts and consumables and keep track of all orders.
  • Always follow all safety procedures and site rules.
  • Always promote a good company image.

About You

  • Full clean driver’s licence.
  • Competent with all types of internal combustion engines.
  • Background in field servicing, ideally Forklift trucks, although other related industries will be considered.
  • Good electrical knowledge.
  • Good practical understanding of H & S.
  • In date counterbalance licence.
  • Must have the right to work in the Uk without the need for sponsorship.
  • Computer literate (experience of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Experience in mig, tig and stick welding, fabrication.
