People Solutions are looking for a reliable and experienced Class 1 Shunters to join our client in Warrington.
This is a temp to perm role offering great stability and career progression for the right candidate!

Rates of Pay
- Mon-Fri: £18.00 per hour
- Sat and Sun: £20.00 per hour
Day to Day Duties
• Safely and efficiently move trailers between yard and loading bays
• Shunting Class 1 vehicles in confined spaces
• Checking trailers for defects and ensuring they are roadworthy
• Conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting any maintenance needs
• Covering Class 1 runs when required, providing flexibility to the team
• Driver check-ins, ensuring smooth communication and documentation
• Supporting with stock-taking duties, ensuring accurate counts and inventory management, data input
• Admin tasks as requested, including maintaining shunting logs, updating transport documentation, and assisting with any additional paperwork
Essential Skills
• Minimum 12 months Class 1 (CE) experience
• Hold a valid CPC, Digi Card and UK CE licence
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to cover Class 1 runs when necessary
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude
• Computer Literate
Desirable Experience
Experience in a similar role would be an advantage.
Training
Training provided with an experienced team member for the first week.
