Cover Supervisor

We are working with one school in particular who are wanting the strongest and most experienced of Cover Supervisors in their school!
Academics are currently recruiting a dedicated cover supervisors to work on a supply basis in one of our client secondary schools in Warrington.
As a cover supervisor you will be a crucial part of maintaining a positive learning environment in the absence of the regular teacher.
Main Cover Supervisor responsibilities:
- Supervise the classroom in the absence of the usual class teacher
- Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure students engage in meaningful activities
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting a positive and respectful atmosphere
- Follow school policies and procedures to maintain a safe learning environment
- Manage the class behaviour following the schools policies and procedures
What you will need to work as a Cover Supervisor with Academics:
- Previous experience supporting children and/or young adults
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage the classroom effectively and adapt to different school environments
- Flexible and reliable, with a positive attitude towards education
- Enhanced DBS certificate registered to the update service, or be willing to get one.
