I am currently working with a Social housing Contractor based in Warrington looking for a Disrepair Manager.

Our client is looking to grow their disrepair teams therefore they are seeking a candidate who will play a crucial role in assessing and identifying various property related issues, focussing primarily on disrepair cases.

You will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections, evaluating property conditions, and producing comprehensive reports to support the resolution of disrepair claims.

Salary - 40,000 - 42,000 ( Permanent)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage disrepair cases, ensuring compliance with housing laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement proactive strategies to minimise disrepair claims and improve overall service delivery.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports outlining the nature and extent of disrepair, along with recommended remediation strategies.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders, including property owners, legal professionals, and insurance companies, to facilitate efficient resolution of disrepair claims.
  • Stay up to date with relevant legislation and regulations, ensuring compliance and adherence to industry standards.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to clients, offering support throughout the disrepair resolution process.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in disrepair management or a related role in the housing sector.
  • A strong understanding of housing law, disrepair legislation, and repair procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling effective collaboration with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, manage workload efficiently, and meet deadlines.
