FLT Counterbalance with Clamp Operator

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of FLT Counterbalance with Clamp Operator, with an immediate start available for the right candidate. This is an ongoing role with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate. 

This role is based in a manufacturing environment within the aggregate sector. While some manual tasks are included, the majority of the role involves operating an FLT Counterbalance with a Clamp attachment.

Location: Croft - LE9

Role and Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a Forklift Counterbalance with a Clamp attachment.
• Conduct risk assessments and daily safety checks.
• Report any health and safety concerns.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, keeping work areas clean.
• Ensure quality control of products.
• Work efficiently to meet production targets.
• Be responsible for manufacturing assets, including materials, equipment, and storage areas.
• React promptly to breakdowns, liaising with maintenance and assisting as required.
• Perform regular plant inspections and maintenance routines.
• Maintain cleanliness of the plant, equipment, and surrounding areas.
• Some manual tasks are also included.
• Work on a three-shift rotating pattern: days, afternoons, and nights.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must hold a valid, accredited Counterbalance (CB) licence.
• Previous experience using a CB forklift with a clamp attachment is essential.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
• Ability to meet deadlines and solve problems efficiently.
• A positive attitude towards change and process improvements.

Working Hours:

• 06:00 AM - 14:15 PM
• 14:00 PM - 22:15 PM
• 22:00 PM - 06:15 AM

Pay & Benefits:

Pay rate: £15 per hour
Overtime: Paid after 41.25 hours at x1.5 rate
