Our Client has a requirement for an EC&I Engineer, who will be required to work on a contract basis in either Warrington or Cumbria.
Role Purpose:
-
The role will involve the delivery of engineering design in support of Substation replacement for the provision of 11kV Substation Module(s), Switchboard and Ancillaries.
Job Role Responsibilities:
-
Site Surveys of electrical assets.
-
Design of services,
-
Plant/Site modification (design and implementation),
-
Nuclear Safety and Hazard Management,
-
Attendance at HAZOPs and HAZCONs
-
Support the production of engineering documentation and drawings, including but not limited to; Site Survey Reports, Single Line Diagrams (including protection diagrams), Cable Routing, Block Cable Diagrams, CDM Risk Assessments,Cable Calculations Cable Cards, Outline Installation Method Statements, CAE, input to optioneering, etc.

Support to Single Discipline Design Review & Production of Minutes of Meetings.

Support to Multi Discipline Design Review & Production of Minutes of Meetings.
Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:
-
Experience in use of AVEVA electrical or similar CE&I design packages,
-
Experience of any Sellafield or nuclear industry CE&I Design.

Chartered (or close to chartered) engineer.

Experience of leading work packages; providing guidance to junior engineers in establishing solutions to technical problems
- Experience in the use of AutoCAD
-
A minimum of three years' experience working within a highly regulated industry.

Familiar with a range of available CAE technologies and techniques.

Capable of independent and autonomous work during the delivery of design packages.

Capable of working closely and effectively with Engineers to deliver compliant design deliverables.

Able to actively seek input from other engineers, specialists, Utilities and project team members to improve understanding and deliver fit for purpose solutions
- Able to manage a package of work being delivered by the supply chain.Be able to present information in forms specifically aimed at a variety of target audience
- Ability to demonstrate competence in a design role (SQEP) in line with the role description detailed above.
