We are recruiting on behalf of a leading engineering consultancy that is expanding its specialist Systems Engineering team, offering exciting opportunities to work on high-profile national infrastructure projects in the nuclear sector.



About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established consultancy, applying risk management methodologies to ensure system availability, reliability, and maintainability from the early stages of development. Roles are available from Graduate to Principal level, with responsibilities scaling accordingly.



Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct risk-based reliability and functional safety assessments for complex engineering systems.
  • Apply methodologies such as FMEA, FTA, RBD, HAZID, HAZOP, and LOPA.
  • Implement and assess Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM), Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA), and Level of Repair Analysis (LoRA).
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure dependability objectives are met.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers (for Senior and Principal roles).
  • Prepare detailed technical reports and present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.


What We're Looking For

  • A degree in engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in reliability, maintainability, and safety analysis (level dependent on role).
  • Strong knowledge of engineering risk assessment techniques.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience producing high-quality reports.
  • Experience in the nuclear, aerospace, defence, or other safety-critical industries is highly desirable.
  • SC Clearance eligibility is essential.
