Hourly Lifestyle / Care Assistant for a young adult

We are recruiting on behalf of our client a young disabled male, living in his own accommodation in Warrington. He is looking for a like-minded PA to provide his personal care and independent living support. This is a great opportunity to make a positive impact on a young adult’s life.

Start Date: January 2025

Location: Warrington, WA5

Rate of pay: £15 per hour for 16 hours & £50 Overnight rate = £290 per shift

Shift Hours: 8am to 8am the following day

Shift Pattern:

  • Week 1: Thursday, Sunday

  • Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday

  • Week 3: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday

About the Role

Join our team as a Personal Assistant (PA) for our client, a mid twenties male living in Warrington. Our client has cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair, though he can also use a walking frame with assistance. This role is less about traditional caregiving and more about being a supportive companion, helping our client live his life to the fullest.

About Our Client

  • Active and independent, enjoys fitness and has a personal trainer.

  • A wheelchair football player and a big sports fan, especially of Liverpool FC.

  • Loves DC & Marvel shows, reading comics, and watching movies.

  • Sociable and enjoys spending time with friends.

Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Assisting our client in his daily activities and social outings.

  • Drive our client’s adapted vehicle, so a full clean UK driving licence is essential.

  • Help with note-taking and organisational tasks.

  • Provide support during trips, including holidays.

  • Engage in fun activities like going to the cinema, watching sports, and attending social events.

An Ideal Applicant will

  • Have a full clean UK driving licence (Essential)

  • Be physically fit, calm, patient, and caring.

  • Have good organisational skills and be able to work on your own initiative.

  • Have a good sense of humour and a mature, responsible attitude.

  • Be fluent in English, clean and tidy in appearance and ways.

  • Be a non-smoker and be able to respect privacy and confidentiality.
