We are currently looking for a Chemist graduate to join our compliance team as a Technical Coordinator. This is an opportunity for someone who wants to utilise their chemistry background to develop a skill base within the Hazardous waste, recycling and environmental industry.

Your Role:As an office-based Chemistry Graduate, you'll be at the heart of our operations, working alongside seasoned professionals to tackle exciting challenges. Your responsibilities may include:

  • To Support the Technical and Compliance team
  • Logging and processing incoming waste enquiries in accordance with all applicable legislation
  • Supporting the control of waste enquiries /technical assessment processes
  • Supporting offsite sampling and waste management operations
  • Maintain accurate and compliant duty of care records.
  • Supporting the companys ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 systems
  • Updating audit reports and NCR/H&S registers to ensure close out of issues raised by the compliance teams, ensuring systems are updated as req.
  • Liaising with external laboratories
  • Provide support in the application and management of accreditations, licences and permits

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Adaptability and a passion for learning
  • Minimum of HNC in Chemistry, degree desirable
  • Proficient in IT
  • 1 year waste management experience desirable
  • Full UK driving license
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
