We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to join our dynamic HR team within a leading FMCG business. The HR Advisor will support the HR function by providing expert HR guidance and advice to managers and employees across multiple business areas. Description

  • Employee Relations: Act as a first point of contact for managers and employees on all HR-related queries, providing advice on policies, procedures, and best practices. Support the resolution of employee relations issues, including performance management, disciplinary actions, grievances, and conflicts.
  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Support the recruitment process, including liaising with hiring managers, conducting interviews, and assisting in candidate selection. Oversee the onboarding process to ensure a smooth integration for new hires.
  • Performance Management: Assist in managing the performance review process, ensuring it aligns with company goals. Provide support in developing performance improvement plans and identifying training and development needs.
  • Training and Development: Work closely with the L&D team to identify training needs and coordinate relevant programs that will support employee development and enhance overall performance.
  • Employee Engagement: Support employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work culture. Assist in surveys, feedback sessions, and development of action plans based on employee insights.
  • Compliance and Policies: Ensure all HR processes and practices comply with local labour laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies. Assist in policy development and regular reviews.
  • HR Administration: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including contracts, personnel files, and HR systems. Ensure all documentation is compliant with data protection regulations.
  • HR Projects and Initiatives: Support various HR initiatives, including diversity and inclusion projects, wellbeing programs, and organizational development strategies.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Provide HR metrics and data insights to senior management on key people-related issues, including turnover, recruitment, and employee performance.

Profile

A successful HR Advisor will have:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of HR experience in an HR advisory or HR generalist capacity, preferably within a large, fast-paced FMCG or similar industry.
  • Solid understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capability to handle sensitive employee matters with discretion and professionalism.
  • High level of attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, or similar).
