We are working with an established IT Infrastructure Consultancy who design, architect, configure, implement, and manage private and hybrid cloud solutions for businesses. They are committed to quality processes and industry best practice for IT service management. They also invest in their employees through development, training and support.

As a Technical Support Engineer you will deploy, monitor and support the Datacentre Lan network infrastructure and firewalls. This include Cisco, HPE and Dell switching technology and Cisco firewalls. You will build knowledge of other key products to support systems across the team. This is a great opportunity to use your expertise as well as grow in new skills and technologies.

Technical Support Engineer - Responsibilities

  • Deploy, monitor and support Datacentre LAN Network infrastructure and firewalls
  • Build and use knowledge of Cisco, HPE and Dell switching technologies and Cisco firewalls
  • Work alongside the team to support VMware, SAN storage, Microsoft Server Operating Systems, and Veeam backups
  • Work alongside a team to share knowledge and document new processes and technologies

Technical Support Engineer - Requirements

  • Experience as an IT Support Engineer with good knowledge of LAN networking, firewalls and VPN technologies
  • Beneficial if you have or are working to a CCNA accreditation or equivalent
  • Experience of VLANs, trunking, routing and VPNs
  • Beneficial if you have experience of VMware, Windows, Linux and Scripting
  • Strong desire to learn new skills
  • Good written and verbal communication
