The Role:
Due to expansion in our sister company TUV Rheinland Industrial Services (TRIS), a role has opened for a Principal/Lead Technical Assessment Engineer. This role is an opportunity to fast track your career into the Head of Department after a period of time.

The Principal/LeadTechnical Assessment Engineer will focus on desktop technical evaluations of pressure systems. You will conduct compliance assessments, reviewing technical documentation, and validating designs according to PED, PSSR, and relevant standards. This is aremoterole requiring technical expertise in pressure system certification and design.

You will:
Review and assess technical documentation, including design drawings, calculations, and material certificates and ensure designs comply with PED, PSSR, and other relevant standards and directives.
Liaise with clients, project managers and conformity assessors ensuring documentation is complete and meets regulation standards.
Issue technical reports and certificates of conformity (UKCA or CE) based on desktop assessments as well as provide technical support and guidance on regulatory compliance and best practices to both clients and internal teams.

You will have:
A Degree (BEng, MEng, or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in technical assessment of pressure systems design, evaluation, or technical assessments.
Solid understanding of PED, PSSR, and related UK and EU standards (e.g., EN 13445, ASME VIII)
A high level of experience in MS Office and engineering design software and welding procedure and elder qualifications.
