About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Delivery Lead to oversee the implementation of a new Order Management System (OMS) as part of a broader digital transformation program. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in modernising core operations and enhancing the customer experience for a dynamic organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical delivery of the OMS, ensuring smooth implementation within the IT department and alignment with the company's digital transformation agenda.
  • Manage both in-house technical teams and external partners to ensure seamless integration with the existing ERP system.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the business to align technical deliverables with business objectives, ensuring proper coordination across workstreams.
  • Oversee the discovery phase by analysing requirements, validating solution feasibility, and developing an initial design roadmap.
  • Implement and optimise OMS features such as stock availability prompts, delivery options, order prioritisation, and automation of payment triggers.
  • Work with external implementation partners to tailor OMS solutions to fit the company's unique rental and hire processes.
  • Support future initiatives, including integration with a transport management system, pricing optimisation, and modular scalability.
  • Maintain a flexible approach to accommodate shifts in strategy, such as changes to the physical estate or customer engagement channels.
Key Requirements
  • Proven Expertise: Demonstrated experience delivering Order Management Systems from inception, especially in complex, high-volume environments with specific needs such as rentals and returns.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of ERP integration (preferably Dynamics 365 F&O), OMS customisation, and modular project delivery methodologies.
  • Stakeholder Management: Excellent collaboration skills to bridge IT and business teams, manage external partners, and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Adaptability: Ability to manage varying project demands, from full-time involvement during discovery phases to flexible advisory support in other stages.
  • Change Leadership: Skilled at navigating cultural resistance and driving adoption of new systems across an organisation.
Additional Information
  • Contract Timeline: The initial discovery phase is expected to begin in Q1 2024, with up to 30 hours per week required. The role will evolve into a more advisory capacity before ramping back up during key delivery phases.
  • Duration: This is a multi-year engagement in line with the company's long-term transformation plan.
  • Growth Potential: The role has scope to expand into broader program management or technical leadership as the project evolves.
