Automation Engineer

About the Role
Reporting to the Directors and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, you will:
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software issues.
- Conduct installations, commissioning, and repair work both in-house and at client sites across the UK, Ireland, and occasionally Europe.
- Lead projects from concept to completion, including software development for robotics and PLC applications.
- Collaborate on system builds, installations, and upgrades.
- Travel up to 60% of the time, supporting clients with exceptional service.
Key Requirements
- Higher National Diploma/Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Robotics, or related fields.
- Proven experience in Automation Systems Engineering, including PLC and HMI programming (Siemens and Allen Bradley preferred).
- Familiarity with electrical/mechanical drawings and tools like EPLAN and AutoCAD.
- Strong skills in SCADA, safety systems (Flexisoft or PNOZ), and commissioning FMCG production lines are advantageous.
- Excellent communication, project management, and technical skills.
