Mechanical Fitter (Temporary) - Birchwood, Warrington

Our client, a leading company in the electrical industry, is seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Fitter to join their team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity to utilise your expertise in mechanical fitting within a reputable organisation.

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical systems and equipment. This will involve working on a wide range of machinery, including motors, pumps, conveyors, and production lines. Your expertise in interpreting technical drawings and specifications will be essential in identifying faults and providing effective solutions.

Key responsibilities:

Conducting planned and reactive maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment.Troubleshooting and diagnosing faults using appropriate tools and techniques.Carrying out repairs and replacements of faulty components.Utilising your knowledge of mechanical principles to install and align machinery.Complying with health and safety protocols at all times.Supporting the team in improving overall equipment performance.

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, preferably within the electrical industry.Strong knowledge of mechanical principles, systems, and equipment.Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.The ability to work well independently and as part of a team.A conscientious approach to health and safety regulations.

This position is based in Birchwood, Warrington, and offers an hourly rate ranging from £17 to £18, depending on experience. The contract type is temporary, providing you with the opportunity to work with our client's team and showcase your mechanical fitting skills.
