Job Summary
Proactive Personnel are recruiting on behalf of an established client based in the Warrington area for temp to perm day and night drivers. It will be a 4 on 4 off shift pattern and a 42 hour week and also trampers for a 52 hour week
Responsibilities
- Operate Curtainside and various types of trailer specs
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition and report defects to the office.
- Ensure curtain and loads are strapped and closed correctly
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel consumption.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Handle any issues that arise during transit, such as vehicle breakdowns or route changes.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driving licence and full CPC
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods.
- Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks related to loading and unloading cargo.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to adhere to tight schedules.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- A commitment to maintaining a clean driving record and upholding safety standards at all times.
- 2 Years driving experience
