This role offers a unique chance to work closely with a partner in a bustling department, providing invaluable support and gaining further expertise in your field.#### Why This Role Stands Out- **Professional Growth**: Collaborate directly with a partner, enhancing your legal acumen and professional network.- **Skill Utilisation**: Leverage your exceptional typing skills and legal knowledge in a dynamic environment.- **Client Interaction**: Engage proactively with clients, honing your communication and client management skills.- **Diverse Responsibilities**: From preparing legal documents to managing correspondence and court papers, your role will be varied and impactful.#### Key Responsibilities- **Document Management**: Prepare and manage correspondence, legal documents, and court papers with precision.- **Typing Excellence**: Spend approximately 50% of your time on audio and copy typing, ensuring high standards of accuracy.- **Client Liaison**: Act as a point of contact for clients, handling messages, passing on information, and addressing simple queries.- **Administrative Support**: Maintain the filing system, prepare indexes and bundles (including e-bundles), and carry out tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and collating documents.#### Essential Skills and Experience- **Legal Expertise**: A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a legal secretary within the Personal Injury field, with exposure to other areas of law.- **Software Proficiency**: Familiarity with relevant software applications, ideally Proclaim.- **Process Knowledge**: Understanding of Personal Injury processes and procedures.- **Communication Skills**: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.- **Typing Proficiency**: High standard of typing, spelling, punctuation, and grammar, with around 50% of your time dedicated to typing.- **Organisational Skills**: Strong ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.- **Attention to Detail**: Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.- **Professionalism**: A strong work ethic, confidentiality, and a polite, helpful manner.- **Adaptability**: Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances, using initiative and being proactive.This role is ideal for a dedicated professional looking to make a significant impact within a reputable legal department.
