The Role:
Are you a driven, results-oriented leader who thrives in fast-paced environments? As the Freelance Senior Site Manager, you’ll be at the helm of a major AMP8 civil infrastructure project. You’ll take charge, inspire teams, and ensure delivery of a vital project that will transform the region’s water infrastructure.
This role offers the freedom and flexibility of a freelance contract, backed by a highly respected contractor who is known for delivering excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the site – lead daily operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely project delivery.
- Motivate and inspire – drive your team, subcontractors, and suppliers to perform at their best.
- Plan and deliver – oversee project phases, ensuring every milestone is hit with precision.
- Raise the bar – maintain the highest standards of health, safety, and quality within the AMP8 framework.
- Stay on track – monitor budgets, resources, and project progress, reporting directly to senior leadership.
- Solve challenges – be proactive, tackle obstacles head-on, and build lasting client and stakeholder relationships.
- Keep it seamless – run site meetings, risk assessments, and inspections to keep everything on course.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager on large-scale civil infrastructure projects.
- Experience in water infrastructure, drainage, utilities, or structures (AMP framework experience is a big plus!).
- Natural leader with the ability to inspire teams and deliver exceptional results.
- Strong grasp of health and safety regulations (SMSTS/CSCS essential).
- Experience with NEC contracts is an advantage.
- Quick thinker with top-notch problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
