The HGV Engineer will be responsible for diagnosing any vehicle issues, managing vehicle downtime effectively, and working alongside external service providers.
This would be an ideal role for a current Mechanic/Engineer looking to come off the tools, or for an experienced Fleet/Engineering Manager looking for a new challenge.
The key responsibilities for the role of HGV Engineer based in Warrington will be:
- Diagnosing any vehicle issues/repairs required over the phone with drivers.
- Managing vehicle downtime effectively to ensure profitability and availability within the fleet.
- Working alongside external service providers for repairs, ensuring vehicles return within SLA to deliver optimal fleet availability.
- Overseeing and managing vehicle warranties, maintenance, services and MOTs.
The successful candidatefor the role of HGV Engineer based in Warrington will have:
- Experience working with HGVs and trailers.
- Good knowledge of vehicle compliance.
- The ability to diagnose issues and faults over the phone.
- A desire to learn and progress within the business.
- A relevantlevel 3 qualification.
