As part of the TUV family Risktec Resourcing have been tasked to assist our sister company TUV Rheinland Industrial Services (TRIS) in recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer for our Warrington or Belasis office.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity to develop your career and join a highly experienced team of Integrity Management Consultants and Engineers delivering Integrity Management services to client companies across the globe in all industry sectors. Youll work alongside a principal consultant on all types of project sizes and complexities, with a particular emphasis on improving safety and integrity for clients, following an agile approach to identify new and more efficient ways of working. The successful candidate must have at least 5 years experience working in a relevant engineering field.

Main Accountabilities - Responsibilities, Tasks & Interactions:

  • Technical contribution
Performs detailed engineering and technical safety tasks to generate project deliverables cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements. All deliverables may be reviewed and approved by a principal consultant. Exercises judgment on details of work and on application of standard methods. Prepares project documentation within ones scope of deliverables.
  • Contract management
Monitors contract progress against milestones. Identifies variation requests to support contract claims issuing. Produces contract proposals to be the clients requirements.
  • Planning and control
Follows work plans and cost estimates in ones area of responsibility. Ensures quality deliverables on time and within targeted cost.
  • Risk and opportunity management
Supports risk assessments and implementation of resulting actions in ones area of responsibility. Documents and handles technical risks according to mitigation guidelines.
  • Customer
Clarifies technical queries and progresses actions for customers. Interacts with all customers, other staff and contractors within ones scope of deliverables.
  • Processes and tools
Uses standard processes, software and tools applicable to ones area of responsibility. Reports process and tool inefficiencies, along with suggesting ideas for improvement.

Requirements - Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Essential
  • Minimum 2:1 Degree level qualified in a relevant Mechanical Engineering discipline
  • Clean UK Driving License.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic and self-motivated candidate, with a drive to develop and further their career.
Desirable
  • Engineering and Operating experience working in High Hazard Oil, Gas & Chemicals Industry.
  • Associate or Chartered member of relevant institution e.g. Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
