Job Title: Gas Maintenance Service Engineer Location: Various locations across the UK (Monday to Thursday away from home) Reports To: Service Manager Job Type: Full-time Salary: Competitive, based on experience Job Overview: Our client seeking a highly motivated and experienced Gas Maintenance Service Engineer to join our team, specializing in maintaining and servicing gas forges, hearths, and safety devices within educational institutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in planned preventative maintenance, gas fault diagnosis, and general breakdown repair, and will represent our company with professionalism and expertise. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct planned preventative maintenance on gas forges, hearths, and safety devices in the Design Technology and Science departments. • Diagnose and repair gas faults and breakdowns in accordance with company policies and industry standards. • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and guidelines. • Maintain a high standard of presentation, including wearing designated clothing/uniform at all times. • Build and maintain positive relationships with onsite clients and staff. • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team. • Manage and organize workload efficiently, including working away from home and extended hours if required. • Provide excellent communication, both written and oral, to clients and team members. Qualifications & Experience: • Valid commercial gas safe qualifications including COCNPILS, ICPNILS, TPCPI, and TPCPIA. • Proven experience in gas maintenance and repair, preferably within educational settings. • Ability to work away from home (Monday to Thursday) and manage extended hours when necessary. • Current driving license and willingness to travel throughout the UK. • Clear DBS check. • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure. • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
