Duration: This role is to commence after the half term break, week commencing 28th October 2024 as an interim measure until the school recruit a permanent member of staff.

About Us: Ed Net specialises in supporting SEN schools across the northwest. We are currently looking to support a local SEMH school with a good all round curriculum Teacher who can support across school This is a specialist SEMH school who provides a supportive and nurturing environment for children and young people who face emotional and mental health challenges.

The Role: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time SEMH Teacher to join our dynamic team. You will play a pivotal role in creating and delivering engaging lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students with SEMH difficulties. You will help foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere, working closely with our multidisciplinary team, including therapists and support staff, to ensure holistic care and development.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons that cater to the specific needs of SEMH students.

Build strong, positive relationships with students, offering emotional and academic support.

Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, support staff, and external agencies to ensure effective support for each pupil.

Monitor and assess pupils' progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary.

Promote positive behaviour and help students develop essential life skills.

Ensure a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.

Experience working with students with SEMH or similar needs is highly desirable.

Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with SEMH and effective strategies to support them.

Excellent communication, patience, and resilience.

Ability to inspire, motivate, and engage students who may present challenging behaviour.

Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
