Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) Teacher to work within a local Warrington Primary School. The ideal candidate will have experience in both Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) and will be skilled in managing classroom behaviour effectively.

This role will be 2 days per week (flexible on days) 8.30am - 3.30pm. This will be to start in September on an ongoing basis.

Rate - £110+ dependent on experience

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons for PPA cover across KS1 and KS2.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Effectively manage classroom behavior and create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with other teachers to ensure continuity of learning during PPA sessions.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching in both KS1 and KS2.
  • Strong understanding of behavior management strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Day-to-Day
  • Delivering well-structured and engaging lessons during PPA time.
  • Supporting and guiding students in their learning.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to share best practices and support continuous improvement.
  • Communicating with parents and caregivers as necessary to provide updates on student progress.
  • Participating in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
