The role of Procurement Manager
  • Deliver the annual framework plan, including new frameworks and re-tenders.
  • Oversee the Central Data Team to improve service delivery and data standards.
  • Manage the Central Procurement Service to enhance procurement excellence and achieve revenue targets.
  • Lead technology development initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders for implementation.
  • Drive Procurement Transformation and Continuous Improvement strategies.
  • Maintain standard operating procedures and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Develop the Procurement Toolkit and manage professional development for procurement staff.
  • Stay updated on legal changes and implement necessary adjustments to procedures.

To be Successful in the role of Procurement Manager
  • Extensive procurement experience and knowledge of public procurement policies.
  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g., MCIPS) preferred.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Line management experience and a full driving license are required
